This was our first time eating at this lovely restaurant. From the moment we walked in the staff was very friendly and helpful allowing us to sample every dish before making a choice. Even my toddlers loved the food and I know how picky they can be. They loved the butter chicken and garlic rice and so did I. Also really enjoyed the chick peas my husband loved okra. The atmosphere is clean and relaxing. Really enjoyed dinner here with my family and we will be back.

First, the concept. Indian food varies wildly in spice levels from restaurant to restaurant. Being able to sample beforehand and pick your preferred curry is a fantastic idea. Me personally, I am a carnivore, yet even the vegan/vegetarian options were insanely tasty. Then the service, the staff were polite, they were jovial, they were helpful, and super informative. Lastly the food and atmosphere itself, the food was delicious in all aspects, well seasoned, perfectly balanced, my only criticism is I would prefer a little bit better of a ratio of curry to rice, but that's just me. The atmosphere was calm, quiet, and friendly with wonderful authentic music at a reasonable level where conversation was not difficult or suppressed in any way. It had a very comfortable family diner feel. If I had to rate it out of 10 a 9.5 would be the low end. It was simply that good and the price was entirely reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. The photo is of my wife's plate after she has already had some and is purely to show how appetizing the food looks and I promise it's as tasty as it is beautiful.

If you're anywhere near the Charlotte Premium Outlets on Steele Creek, do yourself a favor and check out Kolapasi Indian Canteen. It's a little tucked-away gem that could be easy to miss, but it's absolutely worth finding. One of my favorite things about this place is that they'll let you sample anything you see before you order. If you're new to Indian food or just can't decide, that's a huge plus. The staff is friendly, patient, and happy to help you find something you'll love. The food is delicious across the board, but I'm especially a fan of their naan bread—always fresh, soft, and perfect for scooping up all the amazing flavors. And don't leave without trying the mango lassi (mango yogurt drink). It's refreshing, delicious, and my personal favorite. I like that it's also great for gut health and probiotics. Whether you're already a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, Kolapasi Indian Canteen is definitely worth a visit. Great food, generous samples, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! 🍛🥭🥖

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Halal, authentic, and absolutely worth the drive from South Carolina. As someone who regularly reviews restaurants, I can confidently say this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. The flavors were bold, fresh, and unforgettable. Being able to sample dishes before ordering was a game-changer and made the entire experience even better. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the quality speaks for itself. After eating here, all I can say is: goodbye Chipotle and goodbye CAVA. This is the kind of food that keeps you thinking about your next visit before you've even left. Kolapasi Indian Canteen is well worth the trip. I came from South Carolina and would gladly make the drive again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just went and had the variety at this Indian restaurant. Very impressed with your service, very attentive lady behind the counter. We got two bowls, for $13.99. which included a rice and two meat. Plenty of food for two adults and one child. Being able to take a sample of the food was a real plus so you not stuck with something you don't like. Appears to be a chain of Indian restaurants, and we had gone to one before at a different location. Seemed very consistent with food quality. The restaurant was very clean! Overall, two thumbs up, can't really think of anything negative to say.
